Tanduay rums enter the German market – Manila Bulletin

Tanduay Distillers Inc., producer of the most popular rum in the Philippines, announced that it has entered the German market by signing a partnership agreement with Kreyenhop & Kluge, a leading distributor of international products in Germany.
In a statement, Tanduay President and COO Lucio Tan III said Tanduay is looking forward to expanding into Germany, which is known to be one of the world’s leading beer producers and consumers.
“We are excited to be part of the German market and bring our Philippine-made products there, especially our Asian Gold and Silver rums. These are two of our best rums and they have won international wine and spirits competitions,” said Tan.
Tanduay’s rums will complement Kreyenhop & Kluge’s portfolio, said Daniel Gärtner, Category Manager, Beverages, Kreyenhop & Kluge GmbH & Co. KG.
“Alongside our brands of strong and high-quality drinks such as Singha beer, Choya, Kweichow Moutai or our range of Japanese whiskeys and gins, Tanduay will complete our portfolio, as a super premium rum was still missing”, he said. -he declares.
Aged for seven years in bourbon barrels, Tanduay Asian Rum Gold is made from sugar cane sourced from the islands of the Philippines’ sugar region.
Tanduay Asian Rum Gold has received awards from the International Review of Spirits, San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Monde Selection, and Madrid International Rum Conference, among others.
Meanwhile, Tanduay Asian Rum Silver is aged for five years in bourbon casks and is also made from quality heirloom sugar cane.
IT has received several awards, including those from the International Taste and Quality Institute, the San Diego Spirits Festival International Spirits Competition and the USA Spirits Ratings competition, to name a few.
